1. Who holds your data

Hostinecuboudu Ltd, company number 16729481, trading as Boudu Chairworks from 12 Whitworth St W, Manchester M1 5NZ, is the controller of the personal data collected through hostinecuboudu.com, by telephone and in the workshop. Questions about this policy go to [email protected] or 0161 236 7716.

2. What we collect

The enquiry form takes your name, email address, telephone number, delivery postcode, the chairs and quantity you want, whether you are buying for a home or a business, and anything you write in the message box. If an order follows, we also hold the delivery address, invoices and the correspondence about your chairs. Our host keeps server logs of IP addresses for security.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

• To quote for your chairs and answer your enquiry: steps taken at your request before a contract.
• To make, deliver and guarantee the chairs you order: performance of that contract.
• To keep sales and VAT records: legal obligation.
• To protect the form and the website from abuse: legitimate interests.

We do not send marketing unless you ask for it, and we never sell or rent personal data.

4. Who else sees it

Your name, address and phone number go to the crew or carrier bringing your chairs, and upholstery details go to the workroom that covers the seats. Our accountant, email provider and host process data on our instructions, in the United Kingdom or under approved safeguards. We never see card numbers.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become orders are deleted after 12 months. Order and VAT records are kept for six years from the end of the financial year. Frame records, which let us honour the guarantee, are kept for eleven years. Server logs are cleared after 30 days.

6. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable form. We reply within one month. If our answer does not satisfy you, complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
