Make an order
Nothing is bought through a basket on this site. You tell us what you are after, we write back with a price and a date, and the chairs are made once you are happy with both.
Six steps, about six weeks
A set of four stock chairs usually takes two to three weeks from the deposit. Anything cut to order, or in walnut, takes six to ten.
Ring 0161 236 7716 at any point in this and you will get somebody who has actually made the chair you are asking about.
Your enquiry
Send the form below, or the chairs you picked in the collection, with the delivery postcode. Tell us the table height if you have it.
Written quotation
Itemised by model, timber and finish, with carriage and the making date on it. Valid for 60 days, and it is the price you pay.
Sit on it
Come to Whitworth Street West and try the chair, or ask for samples by post. Ten chairs or more and we will send a sample chair on sale or return.
Deposit
Half by bank transfer or card link puts the job in the book with a date on it. The balance is due when the chairs are finished, before they go on the van.
Making
We send two photographs: the frames cramped up dry, and the chairs after the first coat. If anything changes in the timber we tell you then, not at the end.
Delivery
Inside the M60 we bring them ourselves and carry them in. Elsewhere on the mainland a two person carrier delivers to the room you want them in.
Money, carriage and changing your mind
Paying
Half on order, half before delivery. Bank transfer or a secure card link; we never see or store card numbers. Retail prices include VAT at 20 per cent, trade prices do not.
Trade accounts move to 30 day terms once two invoices have been settled.
Carriage
Included in the retail price for mainland England, Scotland and Wales. Northern Ireland, the Highlands and the islands are quoted on the postcode before you pay anything.
We book a delivery window with you rather than handing you a date.
Changing your mind
Stock chairs bought at a distance can be cancelled within 14 days of delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, returned unused, with return carriage at your cost.
Chairs cut or upholstered to your specification cannot be cancelled once cutting has started.
Afterwards
The frame number goes in the book with your order, which is how the ten year guarantee and any later repair work. See care and guarantee.
